Counting The Real Cost

Product Description

This brand new Bible study series from beloved Bible teacher Kay Arthur and the teaching staff of Precept Ministries tackles important issues in brief, easy-to-grasp lessons you can benefit from personally or as part of a small group. Each book in the series includes six 40-minute studies designed to draw you into God?s Word through basic inductive Bible study. As Kay explains, "Rather than simply reading or listening to what others say about a subject, you are going to see for yourself what God says about it." Join one of the world?s most respected Bible teachers in a study that will revolutionize your thinking--and your life. What is the difference between a true follower of Jesus Christ and others who merely call themselves "Christian"? Kay Arthur and Tom and Jane Hart point the way to clear answers in this instructive study of what Jesus had to say about the subject. Through these eye-opening inductive studies of passages from the Gospels, you can better understand the distinctive marks of a disciple of Christ and how to make sure they are true of your own life. Join Kay Arthur in exploring what it means to count the cost, deny yourself, and follow Christ.

About Kay Arthur

Richard Young is a former educator, businessman, and pastor. The son of a Free Will Baptist pastor, Richard started preaching at fourteen and pastoring at twenty. He comes from a great heritage of preachers and pastors, as there has been a member of his family in the ministry consistently since 1876. Richard has been a writer all of his adult life, writing corporate training manuals and collegiate self-study courses, as well as two textbooks. He has written articles for both Christian and secular magazines and journals. Richard received Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. He has completed the coursework for his doctorate in education at Oklahoma State University. He served as vice president of academics at American Christian College and Seminary in Oklahoma City as well as dean of academics at Oklahoma Junior College. He also was a trainer for Century 21 across the state of Oklahoma. Richard's previously published biographies are The Rise of Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen, The Journey of T. D. Jakes, and Messengers of Healing (the story of Charles and Frances Hunter). Richard and his wife, Brenda, have been married for more than three decades. Although they find great joy in helping people, their highest delight is spending time with their three children and nine grandchildren.
