Matthieu Richelle

Matthieu Richelle (PhD, EPHE-Sorbonne; Habil, University of Strasbourg) is Professor of Old Testament at the Catholic University of Louvain, in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. He is a former student of the �cole biblique et arch�ologique fran�aise de J�rusalem. He is involved in two major projects of editions of the biblical text: the HBCE (the Hebrew Bible: A Critical Edition), as lead editor of 1 Kings, and the BHQ (Biblia Hebraica Quinta), a co-editor. He has published extensively on the exegesis of the Hebrew Bible and ancient Semitic inscriptions and is the author of The Bible and Archaeology (Hendrickson).
