Kitty B Purgason

Kitty Barnhouse Purgason has lived, studied, or worked in India, Russia, Korea, China, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Mauritania, Indonesia, Kuwait, Oman, Vietnam, Spain, and Tajikistan. She has served as a US State Department English Language Specialist and has been a Fulbright Fellow. She has a BA in English from Oberlin College, an MA in linguistics and TESOL from the University of Pittsburgh, and a PhD in applied linguistics from UCLA. She is on the faculty of Biola University in the Department of Applied Linguistics and TESOL.ESOL
